Sweating to the iPod
I bought an iPod using money I received for Christmas. I went through my music library and tagged certain songs as workout songs for the occasional stroll on the treadmill or the less occasional trip to the campus weightroom. Then, I created a smart playlist that will take randomly take 15 songs of those songs that haven't been played in the last 7 days. I walked for a short while on our treadmill this morning and here's the auditory fuel that was keeping me going.
- Bad Case of Loving You (remake by Giant and my man, Dann Huff)
Great song to get it started. - The Warrior (Patty Smyth and Scandal)
A little too pop-ish but was effective. Blast from the past! - The Final Countdown (Europe)
I felt like I was in a movie like Rocky or Karate Kid training for my next battle. Gotta love vintage 80's power synth. - Walk On (U2)
I'm going to remove the workout tag. It just didn't do it for me. I wasn't necessarily encouraged to "walk on." Sorry, Bono. You'll be happy to know that Vertigo is on my list. - Pain (Grammatrain)
Didn't have enough energy throughout the whole song. Removing the tag. Also, Pain wasn't a very good motivation to keep at it. My feet started to hurt... seriously.

I like "Girls just wanna have fun."
but it's more toilet cleaning music than work-out music.

I can't believe you did not include "Let's Get Physical"!

@ness
When I take up pilates or a spinning class, that song will be my first choice.
@robb
I had a major pre-pubescent crush on ONJ. I'll keep that one in mind. I had that song on a 45 when I was young. I guess that gives me the right to find it and download it. I'll see if my friend, Dan, wants to work out to that song on Thursday while we're lifting weights.
